my friend just got in his 500 dollar JL W7 12 .... in a 250 dollar JL box..... he plans to run 900 watts RMS to this sub... and my educated guess tells me that he's gonna be beatin out tha frame >> ... any comments ... complaints .. or more jealosy?

umm 500 bucks? where did he get it? the list price is 750 for a 12

besides no jealousy here i have 2 of them in the JL Audio HO box. i have 2 planet audio 2250 amps. one for each sub. but thats at 1 ohm so about 1700/sub.

also your friend will not be dissapointed. those things are amazing.

damn you got 2 12 w7 in your car, i bet you cant hear anything for a while after turning up your volume. but for the past few days ive been seeing some 12 w7's going for $300 on ebay. they claim they are brand new and not refurbished. its hard to say though. im thinking about getting a couple my self.

my friend works at a auto sound store that specials in jl audio and kenwood. and when i was workn on my setup he said all i needed to kick 1 ws7 12 was the jl 250/1 amp. he said the jl250/1 amp out performed the 750w rockford fosgate amp.... just thought id add that, JL OWNS joO!!!

yeah JL is pretty reliable and theyre amps are rated by rms and not peak power .. so thats always good... my friend got a discount on the sub cuz they knew he was getting the box and wiring there too... but its still not in .. should be by the end of the week ... P.S. he drives a 02' blazer extreme >>

i would check the sellers feedback

also they say that they provide a warranty but they are not authorized JL dealers... i know a couple people that got screwed from ebay on that.

in my opinion its best to buy it from the store because they give you a warranty
