Topic #27748 12 posts Started by macavely
Just wanted to know who has and HID kit for 9005 or 9006 bulbs ? and how do they look ?

Ive got them on my Lincoln LS. They look no different than any other HID equipped car. Ive got the 8000k so they are more of a blue tint than white, but they still look like most HID's. The actual light looks like a long skinny tube, if thats what you were asking.

i'm sorry i should have made the post a little more clear ... i want to know what the visablity is like compared to normal bulbs.. manilly in the 6gc ?

visabilty will be alot brighter compared to stock or even 9005 conversions. On the other hand because are lows don't have cutoffs of any kind you will blind the hell out of anyone infront of your and even to the side(oncoming traffic).

o and if your get as hi as 8000k, your visibility will be real bad in the rain. 5000k -6000k is max your wanna keep it at.

the color of the light doesn't respond well to incliment weather. the more yellow/white the light, the better. when you get to the blues and purples, the light doesn't carry as well through the rain and fog. >smile.gif>.

how do silverstars perform through rain

It sounds like you would have to pick up a stock fog light and add an bright yellow bulb, Which will help alot with a 8000k H.I.D's on a rainy or foggy day.
exactly, thats why most cars (bmw, audi, lexus) who have hi Kelvin HID's come with yellow fogs.
