My "GT-4 lookalike" with 19inch wheels - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #2837 57 posts Started by GT-4
Dude! Those are 19's? Wow, damn that looks friggin awesome. And I thought 18's were the biggest you could throw on our cars and still look nice, looks like that theory was thrown in the gutter. How much did those rims cost dude?
rims were $1200...and tires...well lets just say 19inch tire prices are crazy.

VERY SWEET RIDE!!! Where can i find the GT-4 fron bumper and hood? will the stock GT-4 bumper and hood fit on a GT hatchback, or do i need a replica???
again, nice ride.

look at top of this page to get part numbers and go to your toyota dealership. Nope, they fit fine...just very minor mods here and there...
Hey 19's do look damn good on our car and no rubbing!, how's she handling now?
The Gt4 project is looking almost complete, good job >biggrin.gif>

man the thing is on rails!!! My 4th gen GT-4 has full TRD suspension on 18x8in all around...the sticking power of the 6th gen rivals my 4wd GT-4. I mean no matter what I do...it just goes around the corner at just about any speed...without any fuss.

And just how wide are your tires. : )
changed to 245-35-19 on rears now...but i have ordered 265-30-19 which will be wider but shorter overall (diameter) than the current ones i have on now...cant wait to have that "steam roller" rear wheel drive look
gt, what is the offset on those?...man the wells are filled to the brim. looks GREAT. >biggrin.gif>

those are 38 on front and 35 on the rears
Absolutely perfect. Not ricey at all. Nice and clean, but very fast looking and well done. Good taste, classy ride!! >biggrin.gif>
Looks good ...

Question, how much room do you have from the inside of the rim to the strut in the rear?

only reason im asking im looking to get 19x8.5 in front and 19x9.5 in rear...
nice! thumbsup.gif

the funniest part... people will not search for a thread that may help them, and then all of a sudden a 3+ year old thread pops up.... HAHAHA
Looks great man! Rims are sweet. But must handle like a boat and be a very bumpy ride with the 35mm low pros!
Does anyone else ever feel that there's always something that looks a little 'unnatural' about a USDM celica converted to GT-4 aesthetic? There's just something "off" about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but everytime I see it, I just know I'm not looking at the real deal somehow.
the brakes, side markers, LHD show it but other than those, i'd think it were a real gt4 at first glance
