Hmmm... PITA for installers probably means I won't be able to afford it for a while

But I plan to be sticking around for a few years at least

Its funny you say that, because just after I got my 6GC, one of my best mates just started saving up to get a 1GC to play with

Good to see you haven't forgotten about yours

Cya,
Josh

P.S. Have you reverted to a stock front bumper with the front lip/skirts on the sides at the front? Or does the body kit just look deceiving on the side in those last pics?

Coilovers are a good option. I went with BC Racing which were around $1,300 shipped and very easy to instal at home.
Car is looking great BTW.
3SGE Beams VVT-i powered Celica
BC set me back 1000$ you over paid.
Edit: just noticed ur in australia so maybe not.

where do I get side skirts like that? Are they stock for the 96+ celicas? My 95 convertible just has the straight rough textured black ones.
edit: I was referring to the first post. I just saw that you put a body kit on in the last couple posts. What is that front bumper though?

I am also in Australia with a '97 ZR Celica. Those sideskirts from the original photos are standard on all post-facelift ZR Celicas in Australia, and were an optional extra on the other models. I believe they are exactly the same as the SSIII side skirts.

Yep Josh is correct. The first pics of the car is the OEM sideskirt. Was standard on the ZR (facelift) in Australia, GT in America also had them (need to confirm but pretty sure). It was on the SS-III in Japan (maybe other model too).
Ebay US has a few of them last time i checked

The current pics you see there is the Varis Arising II kit (front, back and side)

Hehe, thank you

And it is expensive... But then again I think the system is designed for people with one car... Maybe even two or three... Not six mint celicas! (/variations of Mazda and Toyota that come and go... I must read you off topic thread again

I was meaning since you were last being bugged to install the spoiler
http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f138871159I just came across those in Japan... they will need to be rebuilt so they'll probably cost the same as a new set of BC's.... but they're TEIN

There is also a C-One spoiler for sale in Japan at the moment (in black). Shipping is expensive on spoilers, but I think that style may compliment your Varis kit well

The GT4 and TRD ones would too though.
