correct me if im wrong

pink arrow - > strut rod
yellow arrow -> sway bar or link
blue arrow - > rear arm
white arrow - > stabilizer bar
green arrow - > ?what is it?

i want to fix my rear clunking noise....and want to know if we can find any replacement bushings/rubbers/pistons for all those bars/arms (except sway bar bushings, that 've already ordered from Toyota)

I red somewhere in this forum that we can replace the rubber bushings on the strut rod..but dunno where to pick that

yup...that's what im gonna do but i wanna know if there's something else that I can replace in the same job (less hassle) that is not very pricy (in case the sway bar bushings arent the problem)
id bed 10 dollars thats the problem happend to me last year, wouldnt go away. fixed them an all is fine now... you could just get some new swaybars since youll be down there anyway. but thats not fun to do.
it's interesting to see how many people had problems with their swaybar bushings

how many miles you have on the car? its just general maintnence, do you drive the car hard? i had to replace mine around 90-95k miles. i should have just gotten aftermarket sway bars, but oh well. i have a feeling the lowering of my car and rim/tire combo just put extra strain on the rear, my front one hasnt gone out yet, if it does im replacing the front one. i havea feeling once i get my coilovers they will go out.

137 000 miles and im almost sure that they never been changed

I dont drive my car hard at all but roads here are a real mess

thats what it is, order some suspension tech sway bars. and install them yourself. its just as much as taking it to the dealership.
Blue arrow = strut rod

Green arrow = No. 1 suspension arm
Pink arrow = No. 2 suspension arm (note the adjuster)

Yellow arrow = stabilizer bar link (aka sway bar link)
White arrow = stabilizer/sway bar


General rules on suspension clunks (BTW, if you search, this has been discussed many times) is that the usual suspects start with the sway bar bushings, then the sway bar end links, then the strut mounts. After that, kind of a crap shoot.

I get to speak from experience, since on Toyota's diagnosis I replaced my bushings, end links and then all four shocks and strut mounts -- to discover that my problem hasn't gone away. I'm almost dead certain it's the driver's side No. 2 suspension arm that's got a bad bearing.

Strut rods you can get bushings for, but not from Toyota. 185performance.com or fensports.co.uk are sources. Suspension arms, according to a guy who disassembled one, have pressed-in spherical bearings and what looks like rubber bushings is actually just a dust boot.
