Celica gt 5sfe cam gears - 6G Celicas Forums

I checked if anbody posted this but found nothing,
I know theres like no one that makes them, but can you get them made, or fitted from a diff gen celica or something. I love my celica just like alot of you out there, but I really want extra juice without, going turbo, or swaped........thanks for any input
the 5sfe is dual over head cam, but only has one cam gear. thats why you dont see cam gears for the 5s

I dont get it....then why is it DOHC, if theres only 1 cam gear ?
there is a difference between cams and cam gears. there are 2 cams iside the head of the motor, but only one gear that drives them on the 5sfe.

You shouldn't be messing with camgears if you don't know that...

On a side note... independent cam timing can be done if you get some custom made adjustable slave gears...

Your in luck! hehe, I've got a custom made adjustable cam gear for a 5sfe for sale ($200)
I don't need it anymore because I put in a 3rd gen 3sge into my car

I've also got other performance bits for the 5sfe thats up for sale too..
port and polished head with:
2mm oversized intake valves, 1mm oversized exhaust valves;
ported intake/ exhaust and ported valves
269 degree camshafts (roughly stage 2/3 cams)
10.8 compression
($700)

($120) 5sfe extractors

The above head I'm selling has a complete unit, but the adjustable cam gear seperately
The power in the above head keeps on coming after 3k where a stock motor normally dies out.. this peaks around 5.5k and no loss of low end, surprisingly
only problem is you will have rough idling during cold starts, but is fine once the engine is warm..
due to the significant internal changes I don't think the factory ecu can handle it.

i think you read me wrong but I am looking for cam gears not cam shafts.
