Toyota had to make 2,500 road going versions of the World Rally Car to meet the homologation rules to allow the car to compete in WRC.  Extra on the road car included turbo anti-lag and intercooler spray bar amongst others.

Worthwhile adding that the antilag, pre-rad spray bar and cold start water injection systems were fitted to the road going WRC versions, but they were not activated. The spray bar can be activated (as could the WI with a lot of work), but the antilag would kill the turbo in a very short space of time.

every time i see that twin entry turbo sign it makes my mouth water

I've learned my lesson... the best mod you can have for your car is a good alarm system
I vote for featured ride.

hey,
not to get off this thread of nice car but my issue is it will cost me almost $40 US to join GT4OC .. now if i could really use all the other benefits then that would be fine .. i just would like to see maybe a international membership for say 10 GBP and dont give me access to local chat areas ..

i have addressed this with Karen but have not heard back from her ..

BTW a st205 in States is even more expensive to maintain since most of wear parts are not directly available from local dealers and everything is special order or i use suppliers in UK ..

Hi, no the 185 doesnt belong to me, the photo was taken at one of our local GT4 owners meets. Theres another this weekend that looks to be the biggest yet in our locale with 41 GT4's signing up so far. Pics from me and video from Insanity-74 will be posted after the event.
Thanks again for all the kind words and as for featured ride, thats fine by me!

I totally agree with you, I'm just saying that it is would be worth it, even at $40 a year, the benifits would outway the cost etc etc. Anyway enough of that....Nice car driveby...see you at the weekend >biggrin.gif> >biggrin.gif> >biggrin.gif>
