right after fighting in the jail, you sort of go outside and see this passageway with big metalic blue walls around you that move. i tried to run though them, but there just seems to be a dead end and soon the walls crush you. anyone have an idea of where i should be going?

btw, i have to say that this is one of the most amazint games ever made.

you are in a compactor then.. to pass through you have to jump of the balcony as you are coming out of jail level and hug the left wall. There will be a passage on left.. you haev to use your gravity gun to pul a box or water to get on top and through the hole in the wall. There you will see a hole in the floor etc etc...

the gravity gun is your friend! half the fun of HL2 is the puzzles, I loved playing through it

sweet thx, i figured it out. i bought hl2 when it 1st came out but didnt finish it, so now im playing it again... its truly AMAZING. the graphics, AI, gameplay are all perfect.

i played around with CS, but for some reason i just cant get into it. its odd cause i used to be a big online quake player, but something about cs i dont like.

i used to play rocket arena at first didnt really like cs but i guess its ok since theres a bunch of people playing. just dont like the team work and the long waiting between rounds. i go by the name 56k

I have been playing half-life related mods since the game came out in 1998.

I have spent 1999-2005 playing counter strike, counter strike condition zero and counter strike source.

Professionally played in 5 leagues, major one happens to be cal-i before I retired.... now I only coach clans and play on public servers. Game never ceases to get boring for me.

I also played every single half life mod there is...

well I am a multiplayer person. While being in my early hl years I played team fortress classic.. also in a league.

I have been on caleague since it started untill my clan dissipated in late 2003. I played tfc 1999-2001 as well.

My perfect game would be a mix of all of them:
Team Fortress Classic for objectives
Condition zero for hoatage AI
CS source for graphics
hl2 deathmatch for physics.

I am dying to get my hands on the next series of hl such as cs2 or whatever they might call it.

btw thank you for the compliment. I play cs competitevly that is completing objectives. Other than that my usual ratio is 2:1

Cool stuff...if you ever wanna play CS source I play on a great server all the time...I've played since 98 too...back when CS only had a few guns...back in the cs_backalley days...and old gay prodigy...mmm TFC, I built some strong memories on that.....rock and well....ugh, so fun, I miss playing the demoman

lol i watched all the multi player videos but they seem to suck since its the same stuff over and over and over with the grav gun

Well again every game is in the eye of the befohler. Although I do not enjoy half life deathmatch 2, but I still play it simply becasue I love the physics and the exploration of what could be done is just enough for me. I play cs source meanwhile because.. well it is addicting.

yea the single player is probly good i also have the GOTY edition and the opposing forces expansion, those were good idk maybe ill play again

what do you guys think of Steam?

i didnt like it at all at 1st... but now i have to say i love the idea. my hl2 and hl1 cds are all scratched up and wont read anymore. all i had to do is type on my user number for each game and it lets me download them. i wish ever game company had something like this, cause bad disks are all too common.

when i typed in my hl1 code, it gave me all the expansion packs, DOD, Blue shift, OP force..etc.. for free. i loaded up hl1....man the graphics look so bad compared to whats out these days. i remember thinking the graphics were amazing when the game first came out.

i use steam for CS a lot its great jus use the cd key and install off there for free
