Pulling a 7A-FE - Hook Question - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #29230 10 posts Started by Coomer
What do you guys use to pull a 7A-FE? There's one hook near the throttle body, but there's not one on the front of the block. I'm just wondering what you guys have used to pull the engine.

New Toyota project coming soon...
you can use the coolant neck near the front or just a bolt from the exhaust manifold, ive done that on a couple honda swap i did.

hook up to the alt. bracket.

I will return one day.
Alright, thanks for the help guys. >smile.gif>

DO NOT hook a chain up to the coolant neck!

You can use either the alternator bracket, or just grab a hook off another engine and bolt it in there, there is a place for it.

lol i ran my chain under the intake manifold i had no hooks >frown.gif>
I ran a rope around the front (pulley side) engine mount to the hook so that I could swing it easier. But I don't know...
tj
get urself an engine hoist and use the hole at the end of one of the hoist and attach a bolt through it than bolt that on to the front of the engine on the top left.
I just used the studs from the exhaust manifold.
