so im looking at a gt4 95 with 90k miles on it. How much would you guys pay for this thing. I know ones with half that many miles and the same year go for like $5000 or less in japan.
lemme guess, is it the one that is/was on ebay? that car, the last i heard, was still in Japan

it's not 90K miles, it's 90 K kilometres. the JDM tach is in kilos. the dumbasses probably don't realize that tho. don't buy that one, you'll never ever get it legalized. they have NO paperwork on it.

well, ya its the same one, though the guy is so close to were i live that ive decided to look at it anyways, if nothing else maybe i can get him down to $6000 for a 3sgte and awd swap.
I told him to email me whenver it comes in, I know he always says it will be in but i havent bid on it, and im not going to.
It'd probably be a lot cheaper to get a US GT and then swap in the GT4 engine. But that's my opinion.
Brian is sooo right. The cost of legalizing a Japanese car...Think Skyline. You can get a GT-R R34 for around 90,000 imported. That's with all the legalization done. But in Japan you can get one from 40-70 thousand, depending on condition. So, think about that 5 thousand price, then add another 10-20 thousand onto it just getting it legalized. If you have money and want something original in the states (RHD), without having to do the work, go that way. But if you just get the parts from Jarco Inc., then you can add about another 5 grand onto it for the work, maybe 10 if you are going to complete strangers that will use your money. But 5-10 grand is a heck of a lot cheeper than 10-20. But if you know the guy or can do a lot of the work yourself, it's definitely cheaper and it's something you can say you had your hand in.
Why thank you >wink.gif>..

Besides, the money you save converting a US GT, you can put into the engine and have one hell of a GT4 >biggrin.gif>
