You wish it was $20.

I will return one day.
the way def wanted it made....only used 2 mandrel 3" bends, and less than 10' of straight pipe, 2 v-band clamps, and some tube metal for hangers.
it is alot easier to make it the way he wanted it also!
i was suprised on how fast we were able to get it done.... cause it took me all day to make my 3" and we had def's done in like 4 hrs.
it also helps when i got someone there like def that can actually do stuff and help me.....rather than the normal average person just handing me tools! actually i think the only tools i used to make the exhaust was a band saw, a 12mm wrench, my welder, and my eyes! i never used a tape measure on his exhaust setup... it is all done by eye guestimation.....and we got lucky the whole time and everything fit like a glove (it was actually scary to have it work out so good ) things just dont work out that good, usually there is a lot of trimming and grinding to get good fitment, but not for def's setup. we made a good exhaust making team!
if i ever open up a shop.... def would be my right hand man.
DG
Thanks DG
I'd make that commute to work on cars with ya anytime, you have talent. Its so hard to show everyone the work you do on the computer. I'll get you those under body pics tomorrow. Its a little wet out here today, so I didnt want to crawl under the car.

But,
I did take some close up pics of the muffler.

Some people don't like to share what they have done to their car. I on the other hand, was once sitting at the other end of the computer dreaming of a 3s swap. Wondering why others would'nt post up more info about the car that they have.

I'm not here to brag, just here to share with this community. I have talked to countless people that are clueless as to what to do about the exhaust.

And the real reason for this thread is to show you guys the level of skill this person has.

Everyone is is allowed to have an opinion. I'm glad you expressed yours.
This is me expressing mine. I'm here to help anyone that needs it. Thats what this place is for to help each other, and learn about what we can do to our cars.

Next time just click on a thread that deserves more attention.

I will return one day.

>confused.gif> Are you trying to say that Jeff is trying to brag by posting up his exhaust and giving props to the fabricator? If so, thats silly. (please note that I did not say "stupid" due to some people being very sensitive)

P.S. I would like to see more detailed pics of the exhaust too.

#1, just so we're clear, this wasnt a "catback" exhaust. this was a FULL, DP back system.
#2, actually, i think the point of jeff posting this thread WAS to encourage people to go to DG's house and have dave do up theyre systems for them, jeff drove several hrs to get there, and from the looks of it, looks like it was totally worth it. >wink.gif>
#3, your post is totally worthless. if you dont have anything good to add, dont bother posting.

jeff, the exhaust looks and sounds awesome, i cant wait to hear and see it in person this weekend!!!!

dave, GREAT work man, when im ready to go full stainless, you'll be getting a call >wink.gif>

tim86, what is stopping you from swapping a 3s in and having me make you a 3" exhaust? For the right price i can make an exhaust for somebody in France or anywhere! The reason for me having people come to my place is cause it is easier and cheaper for "you guys"!!! I can make the piping and ship it out, but if you live close..... save yourself some $ on shipping and get me to put it on free of charge and save yourself the labor and time!
i think you are looking at this post the wrong way?
and i am sure if you would personally meet jeff you would know he is not the kind of person that would brag as you make it seem.
You are probably thinking ....def is from NY ....he must be bragging. >smile.gif> haha jk... But i assure you he is posting to show you an option you can choose or not choose, and maybe giving me a little pat on the back to show his thanks?

jeff....get used to it, now that you have a swaped car, people will give you crap like this all the time.

tim, you post makes no sense.. the whole idea of this site is to share what we did to our cars, post pics, vids, reviews, cost, etc...

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
All I want to do is share my car with everyone, I want you guys to learn from my mistakes. My hours and hours and hours of time put into this car. I was just like many other people on this site dreaming of a 3s. Then one day, I got to go for a ride in one. That was it. my mind was made up. I got a second job, stop going out. I stopped everything. All I did for a year was work and save every dime I could. Just to have this. learn about it, and share what I have learned to you guys.
I even wrote up a how-to on the freaking thing. Every step is broken down in that thread.

Without this website. Manny, Dave, Art, Jay, Erik, Steve and every other 3s swapper I talked to I wouldnt be here sharing. I'm just trying to do my part.

As I said before, I'm here to share ideas. And hopefully help other members swap. Also give you guys some more 3sgte action.

Thanks for all the info over the year and change guys.

DEF

I will return one day.
i got a vid for you consynx.... but you dont want to see it! do you know were your girl was last weekend?
>smile.gif> haha jk
DG
Haha funny.

I'm sure I'll have some vids to share over the weekend.

I will return one day.
no....no i dont >frown.gif>
but i bet that vid is worse than the one i saw Sat night.
lol

jeff, do you plan to get the silencer, or is it kinda like some of the HKSs that are smooth and semi-quiet?

This post has been edited by Consynx: Sep 26, 2005 - 6:25 PM
No silencer for me, I thought I would need it too.
Its hard to explain on the computer. If I get on it the car is an animal, loud as hell. If I'm crusing on the highway @ like 4grand. It has a nice deep tone, not insanely loud as you would think.

I'll get you some videos of me launching, and some in car highway sounds. I'll try to give you an all around Idea oh how it sounds.

I will return one day.
