any swappers use the gaskets that come with the ebay downpipes? wondering if i should use them or not?

the gasket that goes on the turbo to downpipe meeting surface?
if so my friend used it on his MR2-T and it worked just fine
this shop my friend worked at used red RTV as their gaskets for where the turbo met the exhaust manifold.
worked great on all their 9 second mustangs.
