hi im new to this forum but does anyone know how to disable the headlights turning on when i turn on/off my alarm? right now everytime i use the alarm the headlights stay on for 30 or so seconds and then turn off? can someone tell me how to make it just a short blink or just not turn on completely? any help would be appreciated... thnx

That doesn't sound like the stock alarms. Mine always just blinked the lights, and just the sidemarkers, not the headlights. The control for the alarm should be where you look. If it has a factory alarm, the control box should be under the drivers seat. On the back side, there is a little dial that you can turn to change the settings.

If its and aftermarket alarm, I would check with where you got it, or the brands websqite or something.

oh really? thanks scooby i just got the car a few months ago and it came with the alarm with the toyota key its a 98 gt if that makes any difference...i guess ill just try to check if i can find the alarm control box
