the car will most likely pass emission since i still got a cat... the problem is the computer. they dont do the tailpipe test on the later 1990's cars... they plug straight to the cars computer. anyway ill prolly dish the money out... if i can find someone!!! lol

lol got mine not a year ago from the other motor me = lucky, however if I had got the 3s in then like I wanted it probilby would not have receved the sticker.

wait they plug up to your cpu now? what happens when they get a JDM cpu?

for emissions can't u find another celica that's has no exhaust problems (o2/egr/checkenginelight/jdmcpu) for the print out? j/w because they give you a printout for the dmv or does the ecu have the vin in it (for dmv to match for correctness)?

I'll have to look at mine, I'm pretty sure they do list the VIN, however I dont think that they really check them, I seem to remember getting rushed though because there was a line so go at peak hours and you can hope to reley on the mad state workers to give you a break.

yeah I'm gana get owned, maybe I can just look puzzeled and hide my diagnostic port, and wherever else they can plug into to force them to use the tail pipe only.

you guys are too worried too soon. just go to a shop and see what happens instead of trying to figure out what the shop might do.

mine is due in december. hopefully the same place that hooked me up the last time, will do it again.

my local shops probably wont even notice that the motor was changed.

my jdm sr20de went though the system a few times already no problems atall.
