Last I had heard, Subaru was looking at a hybrid system and Toyota was going to provide it in exchange for new lithium-ion batteries from Fuji Heavy Industries.

Thats Great! I hope toyota makes another 8th Gen AWD turbo celica........I hope..... >redface.gif>
Celica is no more my friend. Our cars have become an extinct species.

It also appears that with the advent of variable valve timing and more advanced engine degign, Toyota decided to turn its back on its long rich history of turbocharging cars. So I'm sure we can expect this deal with Fuji to produce more hybrids from Toyota instead of another AWD turbo wonder from its glory days. >rolleyes.gif> So sad, but maybe somewhere down the line we can see a sports car that still gets like 70-80 miles to the gallon....i know I wouldn't complain.

I heard a rumor that Toyota might "steal" the STI chassi to make a new car. Maybe another GTFour >smile.gif>.
steal lol. Like the dude that created the evo stole a galant vr4 rally car engine and put it in a lancer in 1991 thats how the evo was born.
