ok well i have this clicking noise when i stop is a constant click when stopping doesnt get louder or softer always the same volume and its annoying my only thought is my drums are screwed up or my wheel bearings might be bad oh did i mention the noise seems to wither e coming from the back of the car or the front right hand side


any help would be much appreciated

could be ur axle or cv joint/boot? look under the car and check out the axle and see if grease is leaking from cv boot

Could be needing of new rear plates for your rotors.

ARGHHH!!!!!! I have this problem too, but it only clicks once in a while when Im driving very slow and then stop. Its driving me insane!!! Its almost as if the springs where hitting the car and making the noise. WAIT I think it is that????
I am using dropzone spings with a 1.7 inc drop I think, with KYB struts. It did this before too when the shocks were all dead. I thought it came from the shocks, but I could be dead wrong.

If so, the clicking usually happens during turns. An easy thing to check though...

mine did same thing when i got messed up bearings, when i sped up it disappeared. slowed down or coming to sound i got a horrible noise. my hub was also damaged.

I kinda got the same thing. I replaced my front driver wheel baring, and it basicaly got rid of it. I still have shaking problems, im gunna replace my ball joint today and hope that fixes everything.

cv boots and axles are fine that was the first thing i checked as for the brakes i just did my brakes so my only thought is that its a wheel bearing or that maybe its coming from the drums in the back but i dont know guess ill hae to replace the wheel bearings and go from there well thanx for the help guys much appreciated

It turns out my wheel baring wasnt put back togeather properly or somthing, still screwed up.. I hate cars.

i have the same problem. I also noticed that the noise only comes when i go slow or im turning. However i know that it is the cv boot and can very well be the bearings. But the noise does annoy the F#&k outta me!!! so change the cv boot before your bearings mess up. looking at less than 20 bucks for cv boot

I found out what my car was doing it. The caliper bracket was about to fall right off. cause it had only one screw holding it in and it nearly fell off. SO I replaced it and BAM no more nasty sound.

Guys, I had this same problem when I put on my Tein SS Coilovers and it was when I was almost completely stopped while braking there would be this sort of "scrape, scrape, scrape" sound.
All I did was take a wrench to the three bolts that mount the strut assembly to the chassis and tighten them very well, since there was a very slight amount of looseness to them. Fixed it right up, and never heard it again. I think the strut was able to pull back and forth ever so slightly when the brakes applied any kind of force to it so tightening everything up again fixed it.

However if its a droning buzzing sound that you hear while driving constantly and gets louder and faster as you accelerate, then its probably a wheel bearing that needs to be replaced. If you hear popping wile cornering from the front end, then you have a bad CV joint.

Hope that helps....definately check the top of the struts again like I did, especially if you noticed it after putting on some sort of suspension upgrade where you loosened everything up. Might just be it, or might be something completely unrelated like one of the other conditions previously mentioned.

yeah it turns out my forn right strut was loose nd that was most of the noise now all i have is the gut wrenching slicking and popping of my cv axle thats bad just about dead well thanx guys for all the help
