Dragon Embriodery kit - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #3012 5 posts Started by ScoobyDooCruiser
Hey,
I don't know if this is a problem for other, but the viynl on my center divider is wearing thin, and cracking. I had to get the viynl replaced. I thought it would be fun to get the celica dragon embriodered on the vinyl I was replacing it with. I was looking at doing it about 4.5 inches wide, by 3 inches tall. Pretty much filling up the width of the divider.
The problem is that to get it embroidered once, it would cost me $85 setup, plus about $20 to do the stiching. And I love my car, but there is no way I'm paying that much. However, if I ordered a dozen, I have an estimate that they would be $20 a piece.
So, heres the idea. If the viynl divider is getting thin and cracking, I could set up a kit to replace it, I have a lady who sells viynl which is almost identical. So for $25 dollars, I could send you the viynl needed to re-upholster the divider, and then you could take it to a local shop that does that (or do it your self if you got the skill.). The place I talked to said it would be easy to replace, only costing me about $20-$25 to re-upholster it.
Final cost- About $50, depending on who you go to for the work, and you get it replaced with high-quality viynl, and with a cool dragon on it. If there is interest in this, I will post something in the "for-sale" area, but I didn't know if anyone would be interested, before I committed the money and am stuck with 12 embroidered dragons.
If your interested, post, or email me.

I'm interested because it sounds kinda cool to do, but what center viynl part are you referring to?
The center divider between the passanger and driver. That thing that your elbow rests on, that opens up. The vinyl on that.
