I was looking in a magazine and it showed a JDM motor special and it said 3Jgte (toyota) went to the site and says only for mr2 but could it fit with modification? or no. Just curious
engine? - 6G Celicas Forums
Shouldn't be any reason it wouldn't fit in a Celica. If it fits into an MR2, any fwd Celica, Corolla, prizum, exc... it will fit in a 6gc Celica easy. Sometimes mounts are issues, but the 6gc has a pretty big engine bay, so you can stick just about anything in there.

Thats a 3sgte, not 3jgte...I have never heard of such a thing. To answer your question, yes a 3sgte fits in a 6gc. They came stock in 6th gen GT4's over seas and many of us have swapped them into our U.S. cars. Try the first thread in the forced induction forum for feasable swaps. Good luck.

I must type slowly.

lol, i figured it was just some special option of the 3sgte that I hadn't heard of. There's all kinds of engine out there that are special and few in numbers. I should have known it was just a typo.

See i thought it was a typo to. because in the magazine it says 3jgte and on the site it says 3sgte so i didn't know what was going on. Ya i know 3sgte cause thats what i was going to swap in the first place. But i seen the 3jgte in the magazine then went to the site and seen 3sgte so i didn't know if it was somethin diff or not.
Ok, now i have another question. Just figured i'd put it on here. If i was to order this 3sgte engine for $1400 does the engine come with the turbo? or would i have to buy that seperate? Or would it be better to buy it seperate? let me know im just wandering if it would or not.

Normally when you buy an engine set, it comes with everything you need.
