every shop Ive been to wants $3500 to $4000 for a real paint job. Some shops dont paint the whole car because they make more of a profit having thier man power used for working on insurance claims. I hear a lot of complaints from places like Maaco and Earl shieb. I'm having trouble finding a good shop too.

i think your best bet is to find a friend who knows someone who does it on the side.
