for those of you who have convertibles...what woould you recommend? stuff a set of 8inch subs in the doors or keep 6.5s in the doors and put a sub box in the trunk? im used to the sounds of a hatchback with subs so i like my low-end base. unfortunately i only have the 6-speaker sound system so im not exactly sure what should i do with my stereo to get the best sound...

Put the bump in the trunk.

I've got JL 8w0's (tiny amount of trimming to the brackets required) in my doors to keep as much trunk space, and I must say that with 100w apiece to them the sound is very nice (JL always rates their speakers conservitavely). But if you are a deadhead bass nut with no eardrums left . . .

right now im more focused on getting an alarm. but i think i will put some high quality speakers in the doors and leave the trunk alone. from the looks of it, i actualy have 8" speakers in the doors right now and not 6.5s.....
