It's Halloween, I figured I'd dress up my car - 6G Celicas Forums

Most of you don't know, but about 12 days ago I bought a '91 Nissan Sentra SE-R. It's a pretty nice ride, and it's my daily driver while my Celica is down. But just because it's a daily driver doesn't mean that it can be ugly.

There it is the night that I got the car. I just couldn't live with the car in that state, as I'm not a big fan of white and the car was full of dings and dents and scrapes and such. So Friday I started bodywork on the car(and filled two motor mounts with urethane.) Saturday I did more bodywork and painted the door and trunk jams. Sunday I wetsanded the car, masked it, and shot it with paint.

The bodywork pics are on the other camera at home, but here's the car today...it rained all night and half of today so you can still see some rain sitting on the car.

And the sweet part about the car is that that black paint is actually chalkboard paint! >biggrin.gif>

There's the car tonight, all dressed up as a car with multiple personality disorder...it thinks it's a Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Dodge, Chevy, Audi, and some other stuff. >tongue.gif>

The car is so dirty because the whole car was covered in chalk and then erased, but not washed. When washed it should look nice and clean again, and the drawings will look better. But for now, that's the car. >smile.gif>

New Toyota project coming soon...
you crack me up >biggrin.gif> props on the body work Coomer

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I used a sanding block, Prep-All grease and wax removeer, 3M sandpaper and masking tape, Rage Gold body filler, Halftime finishing filler/icing, newspaper, and Krylon chalkboard paint in the aerosol cans. Oh, and I used Krylon Rust-Tough semi-flat black spray paint for the door and trunk jams.

If by "pimp my ride," you mean rattle-canning your Celi, then sure, drive on over and we'll do it over a weekend. >tongue.gif>

Thats so cool. I thought it looked good with the flat black look. I had no idea it was chalk board paint till I got further down through the pics. The first car I've seen with that done. Nice work.
