well as i dont drive my celica anymore (still dont know what im doing with it lol) im in the market for a new car. well hopefully all the paperwork for my loan goes through by this weekend and i have a nice fat bank account to get a car, cuz i found a pretty nice car for a really nice price










yes its a civic. 97 DX with 110k on the odometer, 5spd in pretty much perfect condition. hope its still there when everything goes through... and dont worry im not into rice. if i got it the only things that would be done right now is tint the windows, shave off the "civic" and "dx" emblems from the back, those taillights from a newer civic that are all red on top and all white on the bottom, no yellow, and get clear turn signals for it. rims would come in spring, then id be done. nice and clean. and slow.

*slaps celicarocker*..NO! BAD! NO! Dude, dont go civic. Be different. EK's suck ass too. 4th and 5th gears r pointless in the car. Stay with somethin that will grab attention and that isnt seen on the road daily.

see, thats what i DONT want. when driving down the highway, i dont want to be the car that the cop notices and pulls over. coomer (and prolly some other members) know how i feel. plus, you generally dont see nice clean civics, so it would stand out >> no stickers or big wing or altezzas or crazy foglights...

If you like to go fast, or you like to modify, or you like not paying a ton for parts, then a Civic is for you. I've wanted one for a long time, insted of the Celica. Not being unique is a little issue, but those things can be so fast so cheaply. You'll never know unless you do it. Can't always wish you had done something, makes you life kinda crappy. Like wishing you wouldn't have lissoned to your girlfriend and gotten the "stupid" hachback Si instead of the Celica.

lol... i want it for pretty much the oposite of those reasons. i dont care about going fast. i dont race, and when i go fast i crash my cars. i drove my celica illegaly for like a year (yes i know bad me bad bad bad), so i got use to just going the speed limit. once i got it back to being legal, it was just habbit. i drive the speed limit. lifes a journy not a race. i dont want to modify a car. i dont like paying a ton for parts though. my car will stay slow just like my celica did. i listed pretty much everything i'd do to that car in my first post. not a whole lot, but still would make it nice and sharp looking IMO. thats all i want. a reliable car that gets good gas milage while still being good looking. yes i know 6gc's are all that (i did drive one for about 3 years mind you) but ive just been around them so much couldnt keep it stock if that makes sense. i could get that civic, put under $1k into it and have a car i was fine with. if i got another celica, it would be mod after mod after mod...

get teh civic, sell the celica, the civic is more u >>

my friend has a 5spd. 1997 Civic DX, and my auto ST can walk it. other than the slow, good little commute car.

sorry but to my eyes, a riced up civic is the same as a clean civic, it's just annother civic....

You do realize that your ST has about the same amount of horsepower as the EX and looks 10 times better than that piece. I'm sorry man, but your celica is better than that at its worst.

you know you're moving to the shadey side not dark side.. or rice side but either way... DON'T DO IT. i drive my friend's 00' Civic EX coupe every now and then. even with a AEM CAI.. it's still crap. everything inside feels cheap.. it doesn't even have a clock~!! only thing good about it is rear seat space.
