Well, like always because of extremely heavy braking I got my rotors warped. So now I need to buy two new rotors. I've done this to to cars now and the prices for rotors were pretty cheap. But whats up with celicas? I went to AutoZone, PepBoyz, Advanced Auto Parts and NAPA and the prices are crazy. They want me to pay 89$ per rotors. The cheapest I found was 69.99$ per one rotors. That is crazy cuz these rotors are not some crazy heavy duty/sport. They are normal rotors.

It says that its 19.99$ and that is a good enough price for me. But my question is, is that for two rotors or for one, Cuz I dont want to order 2 packs and get 4 rotors.

well it says "rotor", thats singular. so my guess is that it's for one rotor.

wow I payed way more then that for mine they where about 70 for the fronts and 30 for the rears (4 wheel disk breaks), Good breaks is the one thing I really have no problem paying money for, but on a side note, the cheaper the rotor the cheaper the material used to make it, I do some heavy breaking some times (my brembo's are the best i have ever used for stopping distance and quality, I did a hard test when I put em on, 60-0 3 times one after the other, with no problem and got great even results each time) with cheap rotors your gana go though em like there nothing, and break pads should never outlast the rotor you have other problems if they do.

you pay for quality may cost more now, but in the long run your saving money, and good breaks could save your life, and your car

I strongly recomend paying more then $30 each rotor.

On my 4th gen I cheaped out and bought the 20$ rotors and 10$ pads didnt last over 3k miles. I would get the best your budget can afford.

tirerack has brembo oem replacements for $70 a piece. frankly your going to have to spend a little more than $20 and $140 for 2 aint bad at all. like creis said, buying cheap faulty rotors could be bad news especially since it sounds like your using your brakes under extreme conditions to be warping them.

how are the st and gt rotors different?

gt has larger diameter front discs. heres a thread brakes that explains gt brakes. theres another really good thread explaining brake differences between st and gt but cant find it. here 5th gen big brake kwanza points out st's are 254.7 mm vs gt with 275 mm (front of course).

does anyone know if ST165 or ST185 rear disc brakes can be put on the rear of an AT200(Celi ST)? I know you can put the GT rear brakes but I think the ST165/185 All-trac rear discs are a larger diameter and maybe dualpiston(not sure). I know Doggy was able to fit the ST165/185 front discs onto his old Celica ST. Can anyone tell me about the rear? I searched and found nothing about it.

im not positive, but i think i remember defgeph tryed st185 brakes on his st so ask him.

If your going to pay that much why not pay a little more. Look in the parts database. I dont know if its working yet but when it is look in there and there should be rotors that are drilled and slotted from i-rotors I think a few people have them on here.
