Boost Gauge vs. EBC Display. - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #30745 8 posts Started by WannabeGT4
For those of you now running an Electronic Boost Controller do you even use a boost gauge or does the read out from the EBC suffice? Wouldn't the boost gauge be redudnant? Please correct me if I'm wrong but I can't figure out why you'd need both.

if u have a nice ebc with a digital display then you dont need a boost gauge. it will probably read better then any analog gauge too.

its only nice to have both if your using your EBC to watch something else like volts or 0-60 etc other wise its dumb to have both i had a boost guage and my greddy profec E-01 which had some cool displays for boost but i used it to mainly monitor engine stuff also i had a mechinical boost guage and and read alittle off from my ebc

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
I dont have an EBC, but I would go for both, case the gauge seems cooler as it flicks back and forth. .
I have both. I like it, its always nice to have a second opinion.

I will return one day.
I would certainly have both. If the EBC goes insane and overboosts, I wouldn't trust it to be accurate while it tries to blow the engine to bits.

JDM ST205Blitz Spec NUR Exhaust, somewhere over $1000Needing another one 18000 miles later, bloody annoying.
on my 7agte i'll have a defi 60mm bf boost guage and a greddy profec b 2 watching my boost levels

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
