hey guys,

great forum!

some of you guys (at car shows) told me to give this forum a visit. it is always great to see a community of 6th gen celicas together and sharing useful information.

here are some pics of my big brake kit:

this is a complete bolt on kit for 6th gen celicas. this particular kit includes:

-2 6 piston wilwood dynalite calipers (powder coated red)
-2 2 piece 12 inch cross drilled and slotted directional rotors
-2 rotor hats
-2 wilwood high performance brake pads
-caliper brakets
-stainless steal lines
-all necessary hardware

keep in mind that this is a complete big brake bolt on kit. this kit is custom made for 6th gen celica and is NOT for sale at the moment.

this particular kit cost upward of $2000.00, you may also get cheaper kits such as 4 piston slotted rotors for a much cheaper price.

please dont PM me for specific details on the kit, lets keep it in the thread so everyone may share info. only pm me if you are interested in purchasing this kit.

i will post pics of the kit on my car this weekend

thank you
dennis

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
WOW! That looks great! is this a modified 7th gen celica kit? because they are rumored to fit our cars. Or has it been completly built specificly for the 6th gen? What would the price of a 4 piston kit be?

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
Interested. I would like to know the answers to Orville's questions as well.

also if possible can we get some pictures of these on a 6gc and do they offer braided lines also in the package?

this is a complete bolt on big brake kit made specifically for 6th gen celicas. this kit is not in production and may never will be but it can be made to order. this kit took me approx 2 hours to install and everything fits like a glove.

i will take pics this weekend and will post asap (im away from home at the moment). for those who want to order this kit please understand that it is made to order. in other words, it may take 4-8 weeks to deliver. alot of this time depends on you since before production begins a template will have to be sent to you via email or i may be able to mail it to you since it is kinda tricky to cut. this template is to see what kinda spacers are needed (if necessary depending on your rims, which have to be 17's and up). once you give the go ahead the kit will be made.

here is the break down before you order:

what size caliphers do you want?
do you want powder coating?
what size rotors do you want?
do you want one piece or 2 piece rotors?
do you want directional rotors?
do you want crossed drill or slotted or both?

to be honest four pistons are more than enough for ours cars. i went with the 6 piston, directional 2 piece rotors drilled and slotted for car show purposes.

also keep in mind that if you have never handled performance calipers please leave it to the PROFESSIONALS. there are very specific details on bleedind the calipers since there are 2 bleeder valves per caliper. lets put it this way a rubber mallet is needed.

any questions feel free to let me know.

thanks
dennis

I would like a price on a kit with 4 piston calipers and two piece rotors without cross drills or slots. Thank you.

most of these questions will depend on the size of you rim

answer to question number:

1.anything from 1 piston to 12
2.most basic colors (if you get a non powder coated piston you can get your own coater. keep in mind that once a caliper is used (got brake fluid in it). you need to open up the caliper and get a reseal kit. this is because powder coating is done at such high temps. the oils inside the caliper or oil rediue will start to bubble (boil). so sand blasting is required if you decide to coat later
3.anything from a stock size and up (anysize is avail.)
4.pics are posted earlier in the thread. what you see is a two piece rotor (rotor and hat) once piece is the same set up as a stock rotor
5.no, especially for 2 piece rotors. the hat is car specific and the rotors are universal. plus, these are made to order
6.being that i have drilled and slotted, picture the rotor with just the drilled hole and the same with the slots. the pic of drilled and slot is posted. you can also get "disc" rotors no drilled or slotted.

hope i gave you the answers you need
any questions feel free to ask
