Also, tint your hatch window if you have a hatch to as dark as you can legally. People are less likely to break into the car to steal something if they are unsure if you have anything. I've actually found it to be the opposite about tint (but I don't have thousands of dollars of stuff in my car) From my experience, the thief sees tint and knows you're hiding something behind it, but if it's untinted he can see what's in the car and if he can't see anything worth taking then won't bother. Just don't be stupid and leave all of your stuff in sight, and take the time to take your faceplate off, etc
