Clutch question - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #30899 10 posts Started by DJWashington
I've got my clutch out and im replacing it. My question is do the pressure plate bolts have to be tourqed to spec? I think they do. Or can i just tighten them down firmly and get away with it?

Torque them.

Sometimes auto parts stores will allow you to rent torque wrenches or other tools, if that's why your questioning torquing them.

Seriously they arent that expensive just invest in one and have it done right.

only if you want it to fall off. i think your thinking of the pressure plate torque. the flywheel bolts are 65lb each and they recomend you use locktite on them too.

doubble check everything before do get into it
