Topic #31174 14 posts Started by Magic
Last August i took the decision to order TRD Suspension for Circuit for my car.Last month finally my suspension arrived and my local dealer called me to pick it up.
He told me don’t come with your Celica but bring a truck!!!!!I was wondering how big was it.
I took the van of my job and went…was a big BOX that was not possible to lift by one person!!!

It took me 2 weeks after the arrival of my suspension for the assembly, installation and setup!!!

It is really hard using the car for daily driving but this is not a problem for me because I knew what I was buying!!!!!After the suspension corners and roundabouts looks so simple in almost any speed that was taboo with my stock suspension.smile.gif

I feel very happy for my choice….smile.gif….
Thats nice set up. Magic, can you post which part numbers are for rear strut mounts because some people might use it as an upgrade for their suspension. Well, and fronts too.
That is nice smile.gif
I bet it cost a fortune.
Is it only for GT-Four?
Is there another set for
normally 6gen?

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
looks great, that must have costed an arm and a leg
TTE i will try to translate the parts for front and rear struts,if somebody can understand from the paper in the photo please make the translation, you are talking about the Upper support or the shock?

CelicaZR It is available also for SuperStrut and Macpherson strut for 6gc,i am giving you the part number for them:

TRD Sus for Circuit ST20# (Super strut suspension)= 48000-ST090 part number
TRD Sus for Circuit ST20# (MacPherson strut suspension) = 48000-ST080 part number

jgreening they are EXACTLY what i needed smile.gif very hard suspension and the control of the car now its like a toy,i am waiting for C-one anti-rolls now to complete my setup,if you need something for the circuit, this is it.I keep the car in heigher level than TRD recommends it,just a little bid beacuse of the daily driving.

Hanyo The price was 940.00 Cyprus Pounds shipped including taxes, 60.00 Cyprus Pounds for the Installation and 20.00 Cyprus Pounds for Wheel Balancing.
TRD adjustables, yes?

Very nice indeed sir. And a good price I think.

I started off with this lot;

Fortunately, because I use the car more for fast road than track use (and there's not a lot wrong with the way a Four takes on fast roads that a rear ARB won't sort out) I went standard-uprated shocks, rather than full on adjustables. They came out of the box as you see them.

Saved a bit of time.

Adjustables are the correct choice for track work, but I see the track maybe twice a year. The compromise in comfort and usability dictated I needed to stick with a nice 25mm drop on TRD springs and 'standard' uprated (20%) shocks.

The top mounts and new Fig-8s/lower arms were required as the originals were somewhat tired after 60,000 odd miles.

What you can't see is the rear adjustable ARB.

On 18x8s with a 40 profile tyre the ride is tolerable. And understeer is something that other cars do.

Those installation pics look alot like my Tein setup, aside from the Super Strut setup. Glad to hear that you enjoy them, they look like they'll handle the road extremely well. The difference between stock suspension and high-quality coilovers is like night and day. smile.gif

Mr_E i think that drivers should figure out what they want to do with the car and after this to upgrade it,it seems that you know exactly what you need from your GT4 and i like this to drivers.

Silver94CelicaOwner i totally agree with you, stock suspension has nothing to do with performance suspension.

I was wandering about top mounts not shocks. These are plates that look like triangle and attach strut to the car body via three bolts.
awesome! drive safe but fast!!
