There is no way I can make it. It's a shame too. There's a lot of people on that list I wouldn't mind meeting in person... not to mention the great cars I'll be missing. Have fun and take alot of pics and vids for those of us not fortunate enough to be there.

I am now whoring this thread, but this event is less than two weeks away, and I don't have a good feeling about WHO is actually coming, if you have a HOTEL ROOM, WHERE we will be meeting in Charlottesville? WE NEED TO GET ORGANIZED. Bill Strong is the guy organizing the MR2 group (see link below), and they have a specific meeting point in Charlottesville, and probably all have hotel reservations. I am going to get the specific meeting location from Bill. They have been doing this since 2001.
If this does not turn into a huge group of Celicas, then we CAN travel with the MR2s. Bill Strong says that it is not limited to MR2s. I strongly suggest you read his event link below for details. He has a lot of good suggestions about what to bring and his rules.
Since we are not that organized at this point, we should probably just meet up with the MR2 group.

by the look of their map it looks like they are meeting either at the elementry school off of rt.20 or in the monticello high school, maybe even the food lion parking lot. The turns down through monticello and past kluge's really aren't that bad......they are alot of fun and if you know the roads you can really push it too the limit through there, Also you cross over fluvanna and albermarle county lines alot in those 10-15 miles, I personally haven't seen very many police through there and when you do they are either headed to work or going home.

MR2 Meeting Location
Looks to me that they are meeting in the Food Lion parking lot, which is just past Monticello High School. I hope that they got permission to do so. Albermarle Co. police don't like it too much and they will take your car and tow it away if you don't leave when they ask you too. Trust me, I live here and there is no where to hang out! If there are too many imports in one place the police are soon to follow (like the car wash....they chase us off everynight and we are washing our cars....) Also another tip.......Albermarle Co. is BIG on loud exhaust and tint......keep that in mind when you're coming into town. Everyone have fun and be safe! Hopefully I will be able to come out and see everyone's cars and get some cool pics, unfourtantly I will not be able to make the run, maybe next time!!!!!
