Hey guys, 11 months after ordering my side skirts and lip, they will be in tomorrow. Just trying to get an idea, of how to mount and screw the sideskirts, and front lip. Thanks for any info.

For my kit... I bolted, used double-sided tape, and caulked it on...

The side skirts should have bolt patterns on the ends of them, so you can bolt it on into the wheel wells, but with mine, I added like an extra screw to the outside so it'd fit tighter to the body...

Hopefully this can help ya out a lil bit...

on my st there are holes right on under side of the car. They are covered with plastic gap thingies. If you have same-just remove those and bolt in your skirts. I assume it is a 10mm bolt pattern since most of my celica has 10mm

drill one hole in each wheel well, two in the door jamb and for good fitment countersink a screw on the outside behind the door.

I used rivets.

I was thinking bolting them on but if theres on hole on the skirt i would have thought fiberglass is very hard to drill throw. I have a black rubber under my car on the sides.

Fiber glass is easy to drill. My sides didn't come with any predrilled holes.

they usually don't cause it's very easy to drill your own holes

does this same thing apply with a front lip?

what, not having pre drilled holes?

if that's what you're talking about, the answer is yes, my lip did not come with predrilled holes.

yea thats what i meant, that and if the front bumper comes with small spots where the bolts go... like yarik had.

So when you put the skirts or lips on should you be able to see your bolts. Or are they on the inside? or somthing.

well, in places where you can't really notice the bolts, there's no point in using the countersink technique(i.e. inside fenders). Anywhere you don't want to see bolts, you counter sink them. It's a fairly simple technique, but it requires a little skill. First, decide where you want the bolt to go, as in, behind the door on the exterior. First, I reinforced the spot where I wanted the bolt to go with some bondo on the back side of the skirt(between the skirt and the car. You should make the area quite abit thicker, but not thick enough to notice too much.

Then drill a hole with a standard size bit through the skirt and the body panel where you want the bolt to go( you should be drilling through your bondo work). Test fit the skirt, then take the bolt back out(or whatever fastener you choose).

Then with a much larger bit, drill only slightly on top of the original hole to allow for placement of the top of the bolt. Paint the car before attaching the skirt if you plan on painting the entire car, as with this method you will not be able to easily remove the sideskirt later.

Then replace the bolt and bondo over the bolt, and sand it down so that it is flush with the rest of the skirt.

I know this is a little complicated and a little extreme, but it's how I did it, and I had great results.

i've looked under the sides and there is some black rubber plugs...i was feelin under there...and there doesnt seem like any bolt holes..do you guys mount your sides under where teh rubber plugs were? you havta drill yoru own hles on the body?...

Ive got my side skirts, and have now cut them to fit and drilled holes in the door wells so they fit, so whats the next step there are holes at the ends where i had to cut it, should i use fiberglass or filler?? if so what kind. Ill post some pics when i get my pc working skirts look v nice.

2 bults, one is each wheel well and stratigic placement of 3M automotive dubble stick tape. is all your gana need, I did not put any screws in the door jam (partly because my currnet skirts suck, (my new onecs in my garage are nice)) but if if you put holes anywhere beisdes the wheel well your gana have to live with em there forever. (or have a shop fix em)
