Hi

To my understanding there is a FCU in every car, I hear a FCU maps the way fuel is pumped into your car.
So from a perfermance FCU id except you use more fuel. Ive seen some $20 off ebay and ones $300.
What bhp would i get? cheers

NIGEL's CELICA
fuel control unit like the apex safc II??

yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
Yea, its a Fule Contro Unit..... As for more understandible words A/F ecu, or just a piggyback...

With a proper Intake, Exhaust, and Piggy - you should expect somthing like 15 AT MOST. And this would be with the good tune up.

Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...Full custom Projects from restoration to performance builds<<<<<< DCw / JDMart >>>>>>>

this is my view on this.. and i could be 100 percent wrong.... but your celi (USDM) have 2 problems that keep it from reaching its fully potental (sp) one being the FE head... its simply not a performance head... so its limits are reached faster then the motors with the GE head... 2nd is the ECM/ECU toyota in their "Toyota's are 4 every " thing... programed an ECU that would keep that true... and in doing so extreamly limits the tampering with their engine mangmen controls.... so unlike honda/VW/Ford and so on we can't get all the power out of your engine like other tunerns can by adding a piggy back unit or flashing the ecu .... unless you completly toss the factory unit and go stand alone ...

so thos ebay ones .. not worth it...
