i just recently got into cars and so i dont know much. i just got an air intake (short ram) for my celica and it kind of wiggles when i move it gently with my hand. is it supposed to be like that or is it supposed to be on tightly and stiff?

is it connected to the intake with rubber or silicone cuplers, if so there really is nothing you can do to make it not "wiggle" but its no big deal, as long as it has a good seal its fine.
Mine wiggled and when i open up the bonnet it was always off, get some clips and tighten it up. Im getting a indcution kit K&N.

. Some cheaper poorly made ones are a bi*ch to fit and never seem to fit properly , you get what you pay for !

i got it from "chromeintakes" and it came with the silicone.

thx. it seems to be working good. im pretty sure it has a good seal on it also.
If you run into too many issues with it moving around and junk, get a 2 inch piece of plastic plumbing pipe from your local hardware store and put that inside the stock hose, and put the filter over it. This allows you to tighten it up real well. And to hold the whole thing in place, get a 6 inch long piece of aluminun or steal for holding exhaust systems or pumping pipe (my favorite) in place and bend it to hold it. You'll have to drill one hole in in each side if it doesn't have holes already, and then make a hook to hook it under the screw clamp of the filter and bolt the other end down with one of the bolts that came out the stock assembly to hold it down. Simple.
