for the 7A-FE motor, is there a ignition advancing degree that some one has found to use higher octaine fuel like 87 or even 91? i know there is one for the 3S-GE motor, i was wondering if it also will work for the 7A-FE ST motor. just trying to get every little bit i can out of this weak ass motor.
thanks in advance.
apparently you can run +12 timing on regular 87 octane fuel. as for higher octane, I think you are safe up to +14 or 15 timing, but I'm not 100% sure so don't quote me on that.
so, the manual says that stock timming degree is +10, right? but the engine will run fine advancing timming +12 to 15 degrees? can anyone ells verify this?
okay so 14 might be the highest you want to go. if you advance too much you'll get knock causing the ecu to retard the timing (defeating the purpose of advancing it in the first place).
so I would say 14 with high octane and 12 with regular. anyone else got thoughts on this?
so +14 on timming advance?
yes, does anbody ells have a say on this?
What's that gonna do for ya HP wise? Advancing the timing?
I could tell you how to do it, but you would not want to hear and do since you have all the info to do it to the 3sge engine.
Hint, get a timing light gun w/ adjustable timing control

okay, i see how it is here
I want to advance my paycheck.
oh, no big deal. i was only kidding. i guess i should have said that. maybe theres no point in advancing the timming after all. who want tos pay more for gas anyway!?!
