Larger Front Sway Bar - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #31494 6 posts Started by GT4WRC
Decided that while the motor and box were out that it would be an ideal opportunity to upgrade the front sway bar. Already done the rear with one from Whiteline, but was unable to locate an 'off the shelf' item for the ST205.
So pulled the original one off and took a trip down to Snells Springs in Auckland who made a copy with a 19mm diameter...

Considerably larger than the standard 15mm it should improve things no end biggrin.gif

just off hand (im' not sure if i'm remembering quiet right my head feels like a scooby ran into me) but arn't most aftermarket front sway bars like 22mm?
why only a 4mm upgrade?

but in other terms
your new one is HOT and its sweet that you can just go down to a shop and they will do it for you on spot....places here don't really do that frown.gif

I think that a 21/22mm bar would be way too large and would adversely affect the handling - especially on what is basically going to be an everyday car. Go too large on the front sway bar and there is the potential to induce unwanted understeer.

ah ok thanks for that clear up gary!
GT4WRC the Whiteline Sway Bars are coming with bushes?
I hope you will install them soon so you can compare them with the stock one!

I choose to go with C-one Sway Bars and they are on the way!!

Whiteline rear swaybar came with new bushes and U brackets.
