PROJECT UPDATE - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #31734 30 posts Started by celicaracer18
Well its been a while since i have updated my project, in fact i think some people have forgoten me lol.
I haven't had much time to get on here as much lately due to work and school and working on the car, plus i have found the love of my life and that has taken up some time as well (not complaining)

well i the car is back together, still no motor but i can honestly say without any doubt that it won't be much longer. I dropped it off at XAT in Tampa this past weekend. I also headed down to Miam and caught the last HIN show on the mainland, very nice, tons of awsome cars. but anyways back to the update

in the past few weeks here is what i have been doing:

1 - Wired everything (from scratch) thats not related to the motor, and everything works (going stand alone BTW)
2 - Sanded the entire Car to bare metal.
3 - Primered out the car (until it gets back from XAT, you will have to wait till then to see what color it will be.)
4 - Mounted Mounted Rear lip securely
5 - Mounted Lambo Door hinges
6 - Mounted fenders (some adjusting left)
7 - Front bumper has some work left, that will get done at XAT along with getting the Sideskirts installed.
8 - Cut and mounted Diamondplate for floorpans and rear side panels.
9 - Repainted interior with one thick solid coat of bedliner.
10 - Mounted Speakers, Fuel Cells, Battery Box, and Seats

At XAt the car will Recieve:
4th gen 3sgte w/ MR2 lsd tranny, Custom Large PWR FMIC and all 3" Piping HKS SSQV BOV, 3" Turbo Back exhaust, Apexi AVC-R, Machine Work (Bore, port & polished head, balance & blue printed block, knife edged Crank), Stand Alone Engine Management (XAT MQ), Custom equal length turbo manifold, Turbonetics T3/T04e 60-1 ball bearing Turbo, Tial Wastegate, 850cc injectors, Inline Fuel Pump, SS Braided Fuel lines, Fal Fans, HKS cams

along with the parts i have installed:
Wiseco Piston kit
Crower Pro Billet Rods
King Engine Bearings
Cometic Custom Head Gasket
ARP Studs
Ferrea 1mm Oversized intake and exhaust Valves
Ferrea Double Valve Springs
Ferrea Valve Spring Retainers
Ferrea Valve Spring Seat Locators
Koyo Radiator
Fidanza Flywheel
Exedy Clutch
Billet Intake Manifold
75mm Throttle body

i also have 17" wheels, Tien SS suspension, CF Hood and hatch and few other small goodies to go on when i get it back and paint it.

so there ya go i think thats all the info.

and here are the pics

You can't mount the 4 point belts as low as they look they they are. If you wreck they will pull down and compress your spine. That would be pretty painful. Get the belts fixed, then race that thing. Looks good as is to me. Stripped and ready.

lol how did i know someone would mention that, they haven't been mounted yet, they are just hanging. will be bolted on either side of the large fuel cell

wow! looks like a hella lot of work ahead for you smile.gif

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
**** 75% of the work is behind me, all i have left to do is some visual stuff to fix when i get it back.

he has 2 fuel cells because 1 is for pump gas 1 is for race gas and the tanks will be remote switchable

i think the 255 (more with mods) hp of the 4th gen 3s wont have a problem with the few extra pounds. hell, i think he needs all the wieght over those front tires he can get smile.gif is this actually for racing celicaracer18? or just a fast street car youre building?

hopefully both.... i wanna see this thing tear up the streets wink.gif
yeah most a street car. i know i'll never be able to hook worth a crap on the track, but i'm sure i'll still make some passes just for fun every now and then. but for the most car it is my street car. but yes i wanted the extra fuel cell just to keep 110 in, just in case i run into a situation whrere i need to up the boost.

mine bolt to the stock seat bolt locations..
yea nick you should move them wink.gif

never bolt your seat belts to the floor...ideally they should be connected to a bar that runs behind the seats between the B pillars

but bolting them to the REAR seat belt bolt would be a better alternative then straight down
yea well it was a good alternative for temp. using the stock seat belt sucked in that hole trying to buckle in, imma get a bar soon
