sound questions - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #31736 9 posts Started by cg97
hey guys,
ive got some audio questions, not relating to the install. i recently bought an Alpine CDa-9853, and am having serious trouble programming the equalizer i went to the store i got it from but they were tools and were not help. if any of you are able to help me i would appreaciate it very much. im just confused, i have to set each band with parametric curves adjusting the level and the freq. so yeah, lost, ha, but if any of you can help me, i would be in serious debt, thank you
Unless you have some crazy sound system, it should sound fine with MINOR adjustments. Set all the levels to 0 (right in the middle) and then slowly adjust them very slightly to meet your liking. It's all up to your personal taste. Hope that help you a little bit.

the problem with that is, i cannot lower the bass to my speakers and turn the sub up, because i cant figure out how to turn the damn bass down, i am getting extremly frustrated
on the CDA 9853 is a high end head unit and its very hard to work.. it took me a week to get it down, but anyways there should be factory EQ settings try those. or use the 7 band EQ setting here are my numbers from band 1 to band 7 set the numbers to 1,2,4,4,5,6,4 its low bass setting on my car. hope this helps also turn on the maker's setting it will protect your speakers from blowing.
yeah, my problem is, i cannot get my settings to stay, how are you adjusting the freq and bandwidth?
because there is like, level, then band, then freq right, and i can adjust them but then it never stays, i tried rpessing the menu button, then the func button, nothing, and i cannot get myself to adjust the other bands, any suggestions?
Thanks
check the manual or the alpine website maybe?

thanks for all the help, just another question,
how do you make it so you can switch through the bands to change, whenever i try to switch through the bands, it just starts shuffling through the preset bands?
thanks again
Hold Function in. Then when it starts to go into the program modes, you can cycle between pwr, aux, etc with the FF or FR buttons. Use the Band button to turn on/off the settings. When you are done, hit Function again to exit out.
