i removed the cig lighter n the harness that conects the base from the cig lighter..ive tired usin a needle nose n try pullin it out..but to no conclusion...it this unit all soldered together or am i jus not "strong" enough..LoLs....

sorry to bring this back 4yrs from the dead but i just did this and the led works great but i can barely see it once the lighter is in. i can see it it when th lighter is removed but it doesnt illuminate the outer ring. any recommendations from those who did this mod.
