Well first my 90' supra turned wheels up on me (bhg), so for a while I was driving a 90' Mazda 626. My 97' celica was originally my mothers and she also loves celicas. She called me one day and mentioned she wanted to trade in the car for a 7th gen. I told her I wanted the 6th gen so we worked it out and I payed mom what the dealership was going to give her on trade in. $1500 later I own my 6th gen (and mom later got her 01' silver 7th gen gt)
Got my 99 GT because I needed an ecinomical daily driver. My 89 ST celica had just gone tits up at 190K miles, so I figured, heck, why not another Celi, and my wife and I both liked how the 6GC looked. After a month of searching, finally found the 99 on eBay for buy it now for $7500 with 114K miles back in early July 2005. It's got 124K miles now and just ticking through them like there's no tomorrow.
well i liked how the celi looks and i didn't want a honda. bought my ST with 80k miles for $3200 and was happy driving it till my friend crashed it... so i bought this GT for $4000 and have changed it to how it looks this very day.

Since I moved to Washington I've been riding a motorcycle for road trips up to Vancouver to see my Granddad. The winters here aren't nearly as good for riding as where I moved from, Kentucky, so I decided I should get a car for this winter. I've always liked the 6th generation Celicas, I didn't want a family car. I narrowed it down to black and it had to be a GT.

I finally found one last fall with 140,000 for $4700. I had been looking for about six months before mine came up on Auto trader. I wasn't really looking for all the options mine came with but I really like the leather and 8 speaker stereo. The sunroof is nice too.

Two days after I bought it my Granddad decided to give up his drivers license and sell his car. Just to think that I could have ended up with an '88 Thunderbird makes me shudder.
I got mine originally because of the great styling and awesome gas mileage. I bought her over 3 years ago, and with 103K for $6000. She was in perfect shape when I got her, no door dings, nothing. The only problem I remember is one cigarette burn on the rear seat, but besides that, you can't tell it had been smoked in before I had it. No intentions of selling, and she still runs perfect.
i looked for a 6gc for the longest time, never could find one... dad raised me on toyotas, he had a camry, mom had a lexus, so i got a camry, then when that finally conked out on me, i got a 5th gen, and when i dinged that up and didnt feel safe driving it anywhere anymore, i searched months for a 6gc, finally found one 2 hours from my house, paid 8000, it was a 94 gt 60K miles, everything was new, clutch was just replaced, i loved that car so much :-(
I was tired of my automatic 1986 Monte Carlo and wanted a 5 speed car that was sporty that I could modify... I had several on my list... but when I found this... I got it that day :-) I paid 7000 with 109,000 miles. Spotless engine and super clean interior... Car has had no problems until the day after christmas. (3 years)

I was in the market for a celica all along. I got hooked on them when looking around for my first car. I was looking for a 7th gen, but I went to carmax and they had a 6th gen with 36k miles on it for 11 G's. Shipped it to me for $150, which was applied to the purchase price, and the rest is history. All leather interior, sunroof, CD player, I love this car.
ten years ago I was 21 and loved rally racing and the celica GT-FOUR but TOYOTA never imported to US so i just forgot about ... bought a loaded yellow GT in 01 and dreamed of a GT-FOUR again .. i sold the celica the same year and in 04' friend who imported jdm parts as a side business had a white 95 st205 he didn't want due to color .. well without even thinking a nano second i bought car ..

I got my first one my junior year of high school (2001-2002), it was a 94 ST with 43,000 miles on it, picked it up for $7200. Loved the looks, the way it drove, everything about it. A year and 15,000 miles later it was hit by a drunk driver (I was stopped at a red light, he hit us from behind doin like 60, pushed us out in the intersection, etc. Car was GONE). Got about $9000 from insurance and couldn't find another Celica, so I bought a Mustang. Sold the Mustang, bought a Prelude in summer 2003, hated it, sold it in March of 2005 and just by luck found my Celica within the same day.

1994 GT, bought with 117,000 miles for $4300. Some say the price was high, some say it was low, either way I love the car and think it was a great buy.

Celicas are one of the few cars I've driven that I feel "in tune" with, like I know exactly what the car is doing, going to do, where it's going, etc. It's that kind of driving experience that has kept me hooked
