i was driving on a highway (I-90 for those who may know) and it was raining outside. i was going about 75mph and i keep noticing the car's rear end keeps sliding out. i had three other people in my car. then all the sudden i see everything moving slow like i'm gonna dye or something. then what do you know, all the sudden i start spinning out. i spun about three times and i was just waiting for the disguisting sound when the car's body meets the wall but luckly i barely missed the wall and went into the ditch that seperates the east and west highway. i could say i'm very very lucky that nobody got hurt and the car was scratchless. everyone was calm except for one moron.
my two guy buds helped me pushed the car out of the ditch and get back on the road. it seems like all my tires were tredless. so i had no traction what so ever. so our ski trip becomes cancelled and i go get me some new tires and head home.
it was one crazy day. i felt sorry for them for dealing with me.

yup very very lucky nobody got hurt, including the car. what exacly happend, cars dont just start spinning even with no tread, did you hydroplane?
Sorry to hear that. Glad it was not worse. Did you slow down when you started noticing the back end sliding?
It seems strange, especially with all the people in the back, that weight alone I assume should hold the back wheels to the ground, but even then.. its FWD, rear ends sliding out on a FWD car is near impossible, but if it had bad tires I guess it could have. I don't know. glad to hear everyone/thing is okay.

the front tires were pretty bad too. expessially on one side. < i think thats why it pulled to one side causing the car to start spinning.

Good thing you are ok. You shouldnt have been speeding in the rain. You could have killed someone.

I will return one day.
recklesness is the #1 Killer. You shouldn't have been going so fast when its raining. Even with my Low-Pro tires with 95% thread left, I exp. Some Hydroplane cause the streets in the city, are located in a u type of street with bad sewage drains.

P.S everthing goes slow when you are about to die, its that thrill that makes it exciting when your going pass 100 MPH or 70 MPH on a 45 MPH curve.
i wasn't going fast. 75 is like normal over here i was maybe going like high 60's to low 70's

man you should really pay attention to the crucial parts of your car.....
Speeding or not, maybe you shoulda slowed down if your hydroplaning....even if you had to go 40mph to avoid losing control
75 normal or not. is speeding when its raining out.

I will return one day.
^ yeah i know. i thought i could make it to madison and change tires there but obviously that didn't happen...

i just wanted to let everyone know that a 6gc was saved from being totaled that day.

Definately not true. I drive the same route to work everytime, and when it rains theres one part of the road that curves, and I've been almost completely sideways a couple times (on accident). The curve is less than 45 degrees, and I'm never going over 45mph. One thing you have to take into account is the type of pavement you're on. Some road's can get REAL slick when it rains, and other types allow you to keep a decent amount of traction.

Shiqexile, I'm not gonna say that you shouldnt have been going that fast, because I hope after today you learned that. The Speed limit is the maximum speed for driving in IDEAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. You and your friends are really lucky, and I'm sure you've learned from this little mishap that going a little bit slower in crappy conditions, really isn't so bad compared to wrecking and dying.

^ yeah, i'm really lucky nothing happened.

i dropped my rice bowl and shattered it in millions of pieces the morning i got into the accident. i think that rice bowl took the place of my friends/me or even the celica.
