I need your help i was wondering what will turn out better in HP and financial wise. Rebuilding a 5S-FE engine on a 95 celica GT or swapping it for a 3SGTE

financially doing the 5sfe, would be the cheapest probably to just get a low mileage one from a junkyard since there's a million of them out there.

better HP in all cases would be the 3sgte

If you however like your old engine instead there are plenty of rebuild kits out there. You just need plenty of time and lots of skills to rebuild your engine with these kits. it beats buying something you never had before just to find out that it's not working like u thought.

No question, hands down, 3s! Trust me on this one, i have a rebuilt 5s. Nothing special. Not a good platform to build from by any means compaired to a 3s. If you just buy a 3s and do the swap you will never regret it. 5sfe is more economy motor. The 3sGte stock is already potent and has plenty of power. Good luck getting that out of your motor if you go that route. It would be cheaper, yes. But why not pay a little more and get your moneys worth?

The 3sgte will give you more bang for buck,
than a rebuild 5sfe.
Look at your financial situation and see if you got
enough money for a swap. If you do, then do it.
If not rebuild.
