3SGTE swap and A/C - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #32632 9 posts Started by Davesceli
Will i lose my A/C when i swap in the 3s?

If i do have to remove it, is there any way of putting it back?
the ac bolts up and everything hooks up to it. if it still works after your swap will depend on two things. 1, if the person who did you harness wired up the ac correctly, and 2, if didnt discharge your ac when you swaped.

mine has not worked since the swap, but i never got around to refilling it or trying to check the wiring.

Mine doesnt turn on either. I believe it has something to do with wiring. The compressor never turns on when I push A/C. How did you wire up your last swap.

It's a little complicated, who did the wiring for your swap?

I actually got a 5th gen and I did the wiring myself. I actually dont have the 3rd plug plugged in on the ECU. So I dont have the engine light and no A/C. Last summer was brutal!

If you cant get it working i would recomend getting rid the pump like i did, that think is really heavy. That combined with removing the stock downpipe will shave about 40 lbs give or take from the engine bay. Just get a shorter alternator belt and your good.
