whats the stock read-out on amps? i dont remember.

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
I think it was 75...not sure. I know when the rectifier on mine died from the strain of the two Kicker amps drawing too much current, I took it to the shop, and the guy said when he was done, "It was 75 amps, but now it's 80." I can't remember exactly, though...it was something like that. tongue.gif

thats exactly what Ive been looking for......lets us know asap if it really works, and how it performs, thats freakin sweet!
i made a thread about this, just search for the amp outputs... I think it's 70 for the st and 80 for the gt
Anyone know whether it will work with a genIII 3S-GTE without modifications?

The guy has it for a lot of cars. And I am sure he could modify a stock one. The one I bought is a remanufactured stock one. I love reman. stuff because yeah, it's been used before, but it's like brand new for a lower price.

Over the pond there capasators for storing energy when your cars off. There about 50$ they must sell them over there. Its incase your bass drains your batts.

Couldn't you just change the pully size on your stock alternate so it spins faster and therefor creats more current? This doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Wouldn't it mess up the electrical system with more output?

eh its more amps not volts your system should be fine, and about changing the pully size, well yeah it would make the thing spin faster but that is not nessisaraly gana give you more power, I mean at idel it would but i think (correct me if i'm rong) but after a surtan point it just cant make anymore power, spinning it faster wont do it. would need one ment to make more power. plus you would have to get a longer belt and that would screw things up a bit.

When you spin generaters faster, they make more power. When the my car is at idiol and I tap the gas, it will make the lights brighter. You could use the same belt, it wouldn't change much, and if it did, you'd need a smaller belt.

Yeah man I got it already. It's sweet, heheh...I am flying to Puerto Rico this Sunday to work on teh Celi so I am taking it with me in the airplane, hehe, along with some Kappa 63.5i for the rear and some 60.7cs for the front. tongue.gif I am also taking the sunroof Mark sold me, muahaha, oh man, plus the HIDs...guys at the airport are gonna be freaked! biggrin.gif

I am so desperate...I can't wait to hear my sound system with this alternator. With the stock one, once the bass hits really solid and I think, "Oh wow, hard bass!", everything dies, LOL. Freaking high current amps! tongue.gif
