So i just got back from one of them car meets everyone has in orlando..and boy did i have a good night with my celi. As soon as i got there my celica draws lots of attention. Next thin you know i got people comin up to me askin questions and what not. The best thing of all, i was the only 6GC there, so i was like no other. C, i own a weak ST, so what do u do when u got a car thats not fast..SHOW ITS LOOKS!!..and thats exactly what i did. The compliments from people just kept pouring in tonight, and even tho its not like the meet is a show or n e thin, i even had people takin pics of the car..(and of course, i didnt mind). I know if i had a civic, 7th gen celica, scion.etc, people wouldnt have noticed my car as much as they noticed my celi tonight. Now im not writing this because im extremely bored or n e thin like that..im just writing this to c if any of yall has felt extreme pride for ownin a 6GC. How has ur celi made u proud?!

when i went to the track a few months ago, people did not know what the car even was. some guy thought it was a supra wit an integra front end because of the head lights. idn, ppl are weird, but congrats on the compliments on ur car.

So I'm happy.

"Your car looks new, what year is it?"
"your car is hot"....

I am proud to be a 6gc owner

i get that a lot also....people ask me all the time if i drove a supra.

people dont believe me when i tell them how much I paid for my, how old it is, or how many miles are on it
adults- think it's a supra
kids- supra, porsche
makes me smile everytime

I have never gotten a Porsche, but I have had one of my friends drive past me and his passenger called me and asked me when I got a Supra, and if I wanted to sell it. I said "For you, I'll sell it for 17K"

Many other various compliments, however people aren't a fan of Black car/Gold wheels

One day when i was picking up my g/f a kid asked me if i paid for my car myself. And i was like ya. And he's like did you do everything to it or did you buy it like that and i was like no i did everything to it. Bought it stock. and he's like wow that must of been a lot of money. and i was like no not really. and he goes, the 06 eclipe's go for 25K and i was like uuuuuuh this is a 97 celica. And he goes (O) i thought it was a 06 eclipse, haha i laughed and drove off.

one day when i was pulling out of the school parking lot a big group of kids asked me if my 6gc was a ferrari

Some guy was checking my car in the middle of traffic yesterday. He was driving a yello S2000 too. I remember when I first got my car. Everyone in my school liked my car. Except they always wondered how "fast" it was.

Really getting it confused for a supra isn't a surprise to me any more. From the rear window back (the liftback atleast) really looks like an mr2 and the front all the way back to the fender flairs is a nice supra-esc look.

Yep somebody thought mine was a mercedes. (four round headlights) Everyone is always surprised that it's a '94 too. And they are Supras' lil' brudder. minisupra a clone just 1/8th as powerful.

i love it...i was in a car show (when i had rims only!) and i got so many compliments on my car....i thought i was a celebrity or sumthing....even the kids i was with who had great car got passed up to look at mine....i bout dropped dead when older guys came up and were talking to me (me-a kid with an import) lol

yah that just happened to me too...the mcdonalds drivethru guy asked me "wow nice car, eclipse right?" i was like "HELL NO!" lol i get a buncha people thinking my cars a supra from the back tho when i just first got my car/installed the body kit. nowadays the people in my town KNOWS it a celica..a TURBOED celica

so i guess pretty much everyone has gotten the "nice supra" compliment..God i love it everytime i ge that. Our cars have been compared to supras, porsches and benz!! impressive huh, people think we're actually up to that luxury..I could just imagine that couple of meets that people on here have actually had..10 6gc's driving down the highway and a bunch of turnin heads thinkin "wow, look at all those supras"..lmao..I love my celi!

now i havent had my car for that long and havent gotten many nice supra comments but most people have no idea what kind of car i have, my mom thought that she saw me driving one day and she called me and was like i saw a car just like yours except it said "supra" on it i couldnt stop laughing

yeah, i've had a whole conversation with someone about how one of his friends used to have the same car as me, but then he called it a supra and then im like, "its a celica" and he walks over to the front and was like oh, damn thought it was a supra. lol, I've also had my car called a camaro and a neon =(. And i was in the back parking lot at work washing my car one day when some kids come up and tell me nice porsche, and im like thanks..? lol, and there were some kids from school asking me if my car was really a GT or if i just put the badges on it myself, i had no idea what they were thinking. And i always get asked if my celica is the v6 or v4 model, yes, they say v4.

i hate it when people say v4, and when the talk **** about my car only being a 1.8, i know its slow but its faster than a civic

ok..so we got skool kids calling celicas porsche and camero's..callin 4 cylinders V4's..i mean really, what are they teachin these kids in school!!..Automotive 101 should be a mandatory course in high schools.."is ur car really a GT, or did u stick those badges on there" wow, are u serious?!..jeez, and we put society's future on the hands of these kids..what has this world come to..
