is that ST215 caldina engine different from an ST185 or 205 besides horse?

yes, wiring is completely different. I am unware of anyone on this forum that has tackled it. It will require alot more wiring work then a 185 or 205.

Just go with the 205 because its been done many a time and the wiring is already guarenteed to work.

hows it taste motha f*cka
Well, it depends who does the wiring. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the caldina only puts out 260 hp, which is only a little more than the 205. I would also recommend the st205, and I also recommend you send the wiring off to someone like tweak to do it for you.

as i remember, it's a VVTi system on the 215 engine !

so there's a fair bit of extra wireing but at the same time, there's a guy in our 'Moscow' club how put one in to his 185 last autum and is getting 230 HP at the wheels without any re tuning of the chip.....

and he only had english wiring diagram (he dosen't speck or read English) !!!!!!!

Thats strange, because english st215 diagrams are extremely rare.

but anyways, i'm getting the st215 motor, but because of several reasons, i'm converting to a SW20 head, its also getting the hydra nemesis EMS so that gets rid of 90% of the extra wireing problems between those two things

It is an internet myth that will not die.

No 3S-GTE came with VVTI.
Only the Normally aspirated Beams 3S-GE's did.

There are turbo its for the Beams motors, but they have high compression,
so you cannot run high boost.

Later Caldina turbos had individual coils on plugs, which is an improvenet; but No VVTi.
