Good job. Glad you're happy with it.
Now get a bypass valve like me, its a great investment (AEM for $45).

if he didnt mention the bypass valve, i was going too

Hydrolock = death

Nice work ! Bet you have a nice growl now.

I will return one day.
2-3 hrs come on it shouldnt take that long, but nice job
Nice work on the CAI...it looks good. smile.gif

Hydrolock only happens if you submerge the whole filter in water. Most people don't drive through over a foot of water...if you do, then a bypass valve is a good investment, otherwise, you could save the $45 for something that's more useful.

New Toyota project coming soon...
last year we had a "freak" rain storm, where we had over a foot of water on almost every street in town because the drains couldn't handle it, and i know someone who hydrolocked their engine trying to get home....

we were driving in a pos escort (tons of ground clearance) and we stalled, i opened my door and water was coming into it....

it was nuts.

so i say yes, get a bypass valve smile.gif you might save your engine!!! and it's only $45...
nice job on the CAI. i always take mine out a put the filter on the TB if it rains. it only takes me 5min.

7a-fte in progressstill need a manifold, fuel pump, greddy e-manage, and oil lines / water lines
that came out great. im glad to see that someone else using the how to i wrote and all the other info on the sight to make their car a bit more special.

I would like to convert my short ram intake to a CAI......how's the difference in sound (specially...because I know it's the biggest one) and performance?

The sound is amazing!! its sooo low and mean sounding.. But performance wise there seems to be just a little bit of a delay when you have a CAI. When you punch it, it doesnt have the super quick response like the short ram, but im only talking like a second more. Its really your call if you want it or not...
