cell phone recomendations - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #33639 25 posts Started by lagos
my cell phone is starting to die. it drops calls all the time and now is so bad, that after a few minutes of talk time, i can hear the person on the other line. they just slowly fade out untill i cant hear them, but they can hear me. its a motrolla v300 and my service is tmobil. im out of contract, so i can change if another company has a better deal.

so id like some recomendations on what to by next. please list the model of your phone, how much it costs, and what service you use.

I'm in same boat, i my self decided i'm either getting the phone with most options no matter the size ex.. needs to have, bluetooth, wifi, over mpx camera, and windows operating system atleast. OR the smallest best looking phone with atleast a average camera and good bluetooth.

You have to decide how much you want to spend right now i dont want to spend close to 500+ for a good pda phone which u really can't find on the shelf you have to buy your self unlocked.

At 200 dollor range and the phone i'm getting will be SLVR 7 from motorola exlusive for cingular. Its quad band, has camera and video, built in itunes , and comes with a 512 micro sd card. And i have to say its the best lookin phone out to date.

i have a LG phone and cingular service, theyre phones are halfway decent, but cingulars service sucks, dropped calls all the time, most incoming calls go directly to voicemail and never ring, it doesnt even get reception at the cingular store or at my home! overall their phones are nice, but im switching to verizon when im out of my contract.

Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them allNo but I don't buy itLike anything you do, as anyone you areCause I'm...Ten Speed, of God's Blood & Burial
In my area Verizon is the best. I'm not happy with Motorola phones, I havent had luck with them. I know LG phones take a beating though.

I have had most of the carriers. Verizon works best for me, I never loose a call. The phones even work underground, most of the time.

I have had
nextel- sucks only good thing is the walkie talkie
voicestream - which is like t mobile - garbage
sprint - which was very good as well
Verizon - I havent had better service.

Good luck finding one you like

I will return one day.
hmm I have verizon, which i like and i just got this phone for $99.99 cause i got a $50.00 rebate. I like it cause it has an mp3 player and the camera is decent.

i like that with verizon it's free to talk to other verizon people, and i also get unlimited text and picture messaging to verizon people.

all companies have that now, sprint, tmobile, cingular, verizon. Best by far is Cingular, there plans are a little bit more but reception is best in america, there customer service is rated 2nd worst next to sprint tho, so if you like to call and complain, dont get sprint or cingular.

I've had bad experience with motorola phones... crap software

Samsung phones are good.. but their designs make it seem... not too... 'strong'....

panasonics great design... reception is....not to gd and features are....not that good

NEC phones always seem to lack features... and battery life sux

i don't like innostream... their screens go bad and reception is terrible

nokias designs seem more for 12yr olds

shin keeps telling me the razr is pure junk, and that the only thing its good for is the looks/style. two of my frineds have them tho, and seem to like them.

so far, i think i like tinas phone the best. its got good features and a fair price.

im trying to stay in the, under 200 or free price range.

I have a Sony Ericsson S710a over the Razor and it was the best choice ever. By far the best phone I will ever have, always want to keep this phone for as long as I can. Shin swayed me to get this phone over the razor and I'm very glad I listened to him. If you can get the S710a get it.

Short version = Get a Sony Ericsson S710a biggrin.gif

i think im going to stay with them because they have the best priced family plan. i also talked to a few of my friends that have tmobil and dont report any problems with droped calls, so i think my crappy phone is to blame for that, and not the network.

verizon is really tempting because people have nothing but great things to say about them, but their family plan is 20$ more a month, then what i pay now.

im still exploring all my options, so who knows what ill end up with .

i pay 49.99 for a family plan i got a year ago, while verizon says 69.99 on their site for new customers.

i think im going to get the samsung t309. its a fair price and has camera and video. the only thing i wish it had is voice dail, like my v300 has.

I've had the Nokia 6255 for a while. I did a lot of research before I bought it. The phone is full-featured and really easy to use.
Bluetooth, Infrared, MMC card to 1Gb, MP3 player, FM radio, camera, video
and of course: Great reception and long battery life.

Only downside is verizon doesn't carry it.

i got the razor and I like it, but theres been two new models of it. The latest incorporates I-tunes in it but its not being released in the us yet. I'm t-mobile, and the baddest phone at the moment is the samsung t809
I want one, but can't find one under three hundred
