Does anyone out there know how to tweak the idle speed for the 5s-FE? I couldn't finish my emissions test because my idle speed was at 2200 rpm, I am trying to lower the value. Any expertise would be gladly appreciated.

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
wat is the normal idle rpm for the 5SFE? also, wat it the normal top gear cruise rpm with the five-speed? In other words, wat SHOULD the tach read when doing 55-60mph on the highway?

wats seafoam has to do with this and the normal idle is 800 to about 1000

did you adjust your throttle cables, give it more slack.
Seafoam Engine cleaner. It removes carbon deposits. You pour 1/3 in your gas tank, 1/3 in your crankcase, and suck 1/3 in through a vacuum line. The car will stall, and when you start it up there will be ass loads of smoke. Let it idle for 10 mins, and when the smoke goes away, drive for about 200 miles then change your oil.
Edit: Try the seafoam before you mess with adjusting your cables, etc.

your IAC (idle air control system) is probably not functioning correctly. get it checked, might need to replace IAC valve (if you have an ohmmeter resistance between terminals should be 19.3-22.3). by the way, also make sure all vacuum hoses and wiring is hooked up properly.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Been a loooong time lol.....
tune it up before you do another test, spark plugs, wires, oil change, fuel filter change, new air filter. spray carb cleaner in the IAC too.

Basics first before you get carried away 
. Sounds very much like there is an air leak somewhere in the system. A leaking vacuum hose etc will allow too much air into the intake side of the throttle body which will result in a high idle. Check all your hoses etc first.

You should be around 3000 rpm at 60mph. In 5th.

i checked all of the vacuum hoses soo thats not it and also i tried giving some slack in the throttle cable i even tried doing the sea foam just half an hour ago and was wondering is it a good thing or bad thing that there was no smoke coming out of the exhaust because alot of people said there would be alot of smoke coming out, i just felt a little bit of power thats all

Make sure that none of them are split either. Very easy to miss that.
