Ok I have stock 7th gen gts rims and I was wondering what tires other ppl had and how well they work. I have found a deal on some Nitto Neo Gen 205/50/16.

they're good.
i have falken ziex ze 512's and i love them. presure2 and jdog1385 are two others i know of with them and they like them as well. they are quiet, handle great on dry and wet, and they are a good value. i got mine from tires.com for $69 a tire if i remember right.

just took this pic today, and i can tell you first hand they worked great in the snow smile.gif. (these are 205-50-16's as well)

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I might get a set of them. I have some BF goodrich piece of crap tires that are a lot more expensive than that. I put my old Michelin's on the front that are waaay bald for some fun and even with like no tread they get better traction than the new tires.

1999 Celica GT
I got Toyo Proxes FZ4 in front and Hankook Ventus HR-something in back.
I am buying a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 in the spring. I will report back but am expecting good things.

1. sheit that tread is almost competition tire! nice...

2. i was about to get those too! those are great, knowing just by looking at the tread -> dry & wet

suspension is basically what kind of tire you have.
I have 7th gen gts rims, and I'm using Kumho ecsta asx and I really don't like them. Horrible traction.
Toyo Proxies 225/35-19
Good all around

Nitto 555 225/35-19
Awsome for cornering and such, never got the chance to use them in the rain.

DTE

I am a thief.do not buy anything from me.

It's what I run on both celicas. And they're superb.

JDM ST205Blitz Spec NUR Exhaust, somewhere over $1000Needing another one 18000 miles later, bloody annoying.
I'm riding on kelly's with 225/35/R18. They ride very nice, And sticky driving corners. also drives good on wet, but don't drive in snow with them so wouldn't know.

Just to update this I decided to get Falken Ziex 512's. I just got them installed yesterday and they are a lot quieter than the Yokohamas that were on it before. Also they grip better but that could also be because the others were almost bald.
anyone ever tried or seen some Celica GTS wheels (or any 16in wheels in the matter) mounted on 205/55/16?

I have a set of 205/55 mounted on some Solara rims right now, but since I cant use then on my Celica I'll just get some 16in wheels and mount then on..

That is what mine are. They look a lot better than the cheap stock steel ones that were on it. Plus the GTS rims are wider.

You have the same size tire?
No mine are 205/50/16. I was told that the 55 size would make the sidewalls weak for cornering. Even now I have noticed that the car has kind of a floating feeling in the rear. I am going to check the pressures and make sure they are right though.

how the hell did you fit those on your car without rubbing?

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
Dunlop SP Sport 5000s
celicazr, do your tires make LOTS of noise loosing traction? i tried some azenis on an ae86 and didnt like the noise when it went sideways.... YUCKY but very sticky for normal driving it felt like i was taking a corner in a go kart the way it took that turn so tight.

94' ST Coupe - 5sfe Motor swap and brake swap.
