its 3 in the morning right now and i have a 7 page paper due at 8:00 in the morning. I've known about it for 3 weeks. Everytime i know that i have an assignment due i put it off till last minute then went i start doing it a friend or the girl friend will call so then ill go hang out till 4 in the morning then skip class in the morning because i put off home work again. Or if a friend or GF doesnt call i will surf 6GC, ebay, celica tech, car domain, and many other sites for hours instead of doing school work. Is this ADHD or just severe procrastination?

I have ADHD, and that is not it. I have a harder time learning than normal people. Which makes me not want to do stuff.

ANd ADHD is when your hyper/ cant keep your mind focused no one thing. u dont even start the work so u cant even be focused on it.

Thats wat I have growing up and thats wat makes me different from my friends. They can focus on there work and study when they are behind, but me no way.. I have found a solution to my problems and that is taking Energy pills. They make you concentrate with a high dosage of energy, its like it counteracts with being distracted from other things, but at the same time if you take too many, they will make your mind unstable and you might feel like your brain is going to explode. but it works..

man, i am just like that! its horrible, i cant even remember when ive done an assignment early, always last minute. ADHD is a bunch of bs in my opinion. MOST people who "have" ADHD dont actually have the condition. it makes me sick how doctors diagnose ADHD, depression and other mental diseases and prescribe powerful drugs like its candy. i really dont believe in mental diseases too much (at least the typical cases of depression and ADHD), people need to learn how to better control their emotions and take responsibility for themselves, not blame it on a condition. which brings me to people blaming things on genetics.... dont even get me started on that one!

I was never prescribed to any drugs. I got a special ESE class that helped me with everything, and also had to take a speech class everyonce in a while.

No i dont actually think that i have ADHD i am actually more or less just making sure im not the only one that tottaly blows off doing what im supposed to do all the time because if not for the last minute nothing would ever get done i guess. Procrastination leads to masturbation. lol

its 8pm now and i have a project for my honors physics class due tomorow morning.

this is what i think about while i am procrastinating

what am i doing now? ------------------------ checking out 6GC of course, and on aim
how much of my grade is this worth? ------- way too much for me to not do
do i want to do this? -------------------------- eh not really
is it hard? -------------------------------------- not at all
maybe i should start now its getting late --- no its not, ill have time later

then after i ask myself those questions about 7 1/2 times i will slowly start to do my project. while checking 6GC and aim every other 2 minutes

1 hour and 18 minutes later i will have a finished project. and then ill calpase on my bed and instantly fall asleep forgetting to set my alarm. so i will wake up late for school the next morning. then ill take my time and drive the longer, twistier, much more fun way to school. and maybe double back a couple of times just because its fun. then around 9:07 ill pull into the parking lot (school starts at 8:10) and say hi to the security guard as i drive by while he looks at me like "you little punk, hurry up and get to class." then i sleep in class because i didnt get enough sleep the night before. yet somehow i pull off the class with an A at the end of semester.

EXACTLY! I couldnt have put my situation any better. I''m a total whore to this forum so i check it like every 5 mintues when im doing homework! yet somehow.......in some way...........my homework.....by some higher power.....always manages to get done.....and i pass the class. Still remains a mystery to me.

sounds like severe procrastination. i also tend to procrastinate a lot. except i'm usually done by 3 am and i almost always get an A.

im 50% with the project i was working on for tonight...

i have gone to 6GC a total of 7 times while doing the project.
i have also stopped to get food/ watch tv/ talk on phone/ work out


and now im bored and just want to go to sleep

but i know that wont happen for another hour since i have this project and 6GC to keep me distracted

AHH! I woke up today at 2:30 Am to go to school (30 miles away) To study my a55 off for a pest managment exam that I almost forget. So far I have study for 1 hour and surfed the net for 3 hours downloading movies and wat not on to my portable hard drive. AHH! So Im not too smart, but also lazy. If I studied day in and out I would Ace all my tests and have really good GPA, but life keeps getting in the way.

I think i got ADD not ADHD from what i understand i just don't have they hyper part. I'm exactly like wut dlx742 except 10x worse. Its not that anything is hard, i just can't seem to focus no matter how much i want too. I went online and took like 4 tests i found and all seem to think i have add too. you can always get pills for it, i got some from my boy he said there badass take one and u focus on wut ever u feel like. I'll let u guys know if they work when ever i get to takin em.

at our ages we usually dont have ADHD but ADD instead. The h stands for hyperactive it just drops off usually the older you get. (kids have TONS of energy) the age range for ADHD is usually from childhood to late teens. i work with children with adhd oppositional defiant disorders, intermittent explosive disorders, the whole shibang... ADD IS A BEEYATCH and all of us have our moments... but in your case my friend...its procrastination....and like i always say...
PROCRASTINATION IS LIKE MASTURBATION... it feels real good until you realize you just PHUCKED YOURSELF! NOW DO YOUR WORK NEXT TIME!!

i think ADD is bulls**t. i know that some people have it, but i know of a lot of people who claim to have ADD but arent that bad. most people are just to lazy and instead of doing work that they dont like they do something that is more interesting (for me its my 6gc). i know a dont have ADD, but i still slack off and procrastinate and get distracted when im doing something i dont want to do. but if i tried (without much effort at all) i wouldn't become distracted. i think there are people out there that need to stop taking ridaline and need to start getting off their lazy a**es and do their work.
