Hi all,
maybe it's an idle talk, but I would like to reduce noise inside a car somehow (made by muffler). Especialy low frequences. Does anybody here experience with this?

Get silencer? my brother has a del sol with a loud konig on it and it came with a silencer part you stick inside it. Those crazy civic drivers , or you Could shove oranges in it(just kidding). Right now i can't think of any other ways besides getting a different muffler.

dynomat would work, but noise will still transfer into the car through the glass windows and what not.

the only way to quiet it down is to get a quieter muffler.

Lay another piece of carpet across the back of the car. And you can also get a silencer. I don't like putting my silencer in if I can help it, it hurts performance. But performance shouldn't be a problem for you with a custom cylinder head and regord block. I'd like to know more about that by the way.

Bulldog is right about the silencer. Its effective at noise reduction but reduces exhaust flow which is generally bad - especially for FI applications.

I am putting a 36" mid-muffler on my car next week to reduce the noise of my 3" straight through exhaust.

can you get a video of the before and after noise of your exhaust. Like hold a camera 2 meters away from the tip of your exhaust and get us a comparison shot.

I would love to here the difference the mid-muffler makes.

You are all safe . It's about 13700 km (8500 miles) for me to get there -> We will not meet there for sure

I would like to put a mid-muffler as well cause the droning is killing me esp. on the highway! I got 2.5" piping with 2.5" dp and magnaflow muffler. Muffler is only 5'x8'x14".

Thinking off adding a 18" long 6" diameter mid muffler just like jgreening is doing.
